Planning Big With God in 2024

WHAT ARE YOU PLANNING IN 2024 THAT CAN ONLY BE ACCOMPLISHED BY GOD?

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. (Ephesians 3:20, NKJV)

Do you realize that God can do “far more abundantly” than you could ever dream in your life? The amazing thing is that God is accomplishing this through the power that works within us. The Holy Spirit is the power of God who lives in each believer and enables us to accomplish His will, according to His way, and in His time. Just as He led and empowered the early church, The Holy Spirit desires to lead and empower you and me.

The truth is that God unquestionably has good works prepared before you that He wants to accomplish. He has plans for all His people to impact eternity and to make a difference for Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 2:10) Ask God to bring to mind a person or a group of people who you can minister to today. If you are bold, ask God what his plan is for you in 2024.

We can only achieve those good works by His strength as we align our desires with His desires. (Psalm 37:4) Paul said that: (We) can do all things through (Christ) who strengthens us. (Philippians 4:13)

As we consider God’s desire to empower us to do what he has planned for us, we humble ourselves before the Lord and repent of pride and self-effort, lack of faith, and disobedience. Remember, Jesus said: Apart from Me you can do nothing. (John 15:5) God delights in using ordinary things like bushes, loaves, fishes, and people like you and me to accomplish extraordinary things as His divine presence and love, and power are revealed. Help us to join you Lord, and by your grace, accomplish your purposes so that the result would be to further your Kingdom and to bring You glory and honor.

Lord, align the longings of our heart with yours and fill us with an experience of your goodness, grace, power, and loving desire to co-labor with and through us. God is calling you and me to a lifestyle of joining him where he is already at work. To Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. (Ephesians 3:21)

The great evangelist and pastor, Dwight L. Moody, challenged his sons on his deathbed: “If God be your partner, make your plans large.”
